Obituary of Ofelia Saldanha

SALDANHA, Ofelia Osorio - Passed away peacefully at Brantford General Hospital, Brantford, Ontario on Sunday April 15, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Cupertino Osorio Saldanha. Loving mother of Roy and daughter-in-law of Grace. Beloved daughter of the late Dr. Franklin Silva and Maria Adelaide Goncalves da Silva Dear sister of Eugenia De Sa (late Sebastin De Sa), and late Maria Adelaide da silva (Jack Mendes ), Anita Mendes (Corsino Raymund Mendes). Will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Zita Osorio Saldanha (late Mario Osorio Saldanha). Will be missed by all relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. Roy would also especially like to thank Grace for looking after his mom 24 / 7 with patience and love that will never be forgotten, and all the nieces, nephews and friends that visited his mom in time of need and help. Will be sadly missed by the members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, especially Fr. Jim Hannah & Irene. The family would like to personally thank Brantford General Hospital D5 Critical Care - Charlotte, Linda and Monica involved in her care, and long-time family physician Dr. Matthews. The family will receive friends at the Beckett - Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Street Brantford, Ontario, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012. Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CHURCH, 78 Clifton Road Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. Cremation. If desired, donations in memory of Ofelia may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. A tree will be planted in memory of Ofelia in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
