I worked with Olive at McInnes House from 2005 until her retirement. She was such a special and caring lady. Olive taught me not to be afraid, always try something new and how to look at things differently. She doted over her family and spoke of all of you often..especially her grandkids. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this time.
Sending Love to your family at this time of reflection and greif. May you feel her sweet embrace to guide you through the days ahead. Xoxo

To my brother Doug, dearest nieces Kim, Kelly, nephew Kirk and families, Our deepest condolences in the loss of your dear mother Olive. I will always remember Olive as a strong, loving mother and grandmother whose children and grand children came first and foremost in her life. I treasured our talks together while she was here in Newfoundland. We reminisced about our summers up in the country on Poppy's land and getting together every Christmas with all the family. I was so happy to reconnect with my nieces, nephew and their families again. Please be strong for your Mom and take care of each other during this difficult time and in the months ahead. Take care, thinking about you all every day
Rest in Peace Olive, you are loved by so many, we hold you tightly within our hearts.

Doug, Kim, Kirk, Kelly & families, Please accept our condolences at this time of sorrow. Olive went through her time of illness here in Newfoundland quietly as was her style. With help from her loving family, she was able to spend her last days back with her family at home. The end of one’s life is not always in vain and in Olive’s case, there is no exception. Her illness brought a family of cousins and grandchildren together, many of whom had never met each other before. She would have been pleased to be part of the interaction of the group of cousins from two generations. Please accept our sympathy on this occasion.
I have fond memories of your mother when we were neighbours in Virginia Park, St. John's. During our elementary school years I will always remember her as a wonderful host of playdates and sleepovers. She watched us carefully as we rode our bikes and played in the yard. She made a wonderful jiggs dinner and we ate our fill! These memories will remain in my heart all my life. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.
Kelly, my deepest sympathies to you and your entire family.
Kim, Kirk, and Kelly and families ... I am deeply sorry for your loss. Your mom was a special mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, and a special aunt to me but so much more. She was a great role model to everyone looking to be a better person. In the short time I knew her, she made an impact in my life and I will always have those fond memories of your house by Bowring Park. Wish I could be there.
My Nanny was a very special Nanny. I love my Nanny so much. Every Christmas Eve my whole family would get together at my house and my Nanny would give us a special Christmas Tree ornament. Every Thanksgiving we would all go to my Nanny's house and she would cook us a special dinner that we all enjoyed. My Nanny is always with me.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. I have many happy memories of this special woman. She was a wonderful mentor to me and she was a very good friend who cared very much about her wonderful family. I will miss her dearly and cherish my memories.
Sending deepest sympathies to all of Olive's much-loved family and friends. Our thoughts and love are with you - Greg, Fiona & Jacob Devine.
