David Raymond WRIGHT November 14, 1961 – November 23, 2023 David passed from this life at Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was born at Brantford General Hospital, the first son of Raymond F. Wright and Elaine M. English; and first grandson of Bruce R Wright and Rhea V (nee Martin), and Lester English and Violet (nee Brock). David’s family includes a sister, Coral, and 2 brothers Douglas and Daniel; Brother-in-law Paul & Sister-in-law Gena. David attended Mohawk College of Applied Arts for Architectural Technician, Commercial Art and Mechanical Engineering. In October of 1989, David married Mary Anne Hensman of Kingston, ON, and settled in Mississauga where they had 2 children, Mathew and Mark. Matthew and Natalie have a son, Liam born May of 2016 – a Grandson for David. David worked for many years for Siemens Canada Ltd in Mississauga, ON. He started as an architectural draftsman and worked his way up to Planning Department Supervisor, and to National Project Manager installing complex medical equipment including MRI's and Cyclotrons. These projects frequently involved the re-construction of Hospitals and other facilities. Additionally, based on his in-depth knowledge of the facilities, he was guest lecturer to both the Ontario and Quebec Associations for implementation of High Technology Medical Equipment. He completed Siemens “MBA programs” for ‘Project Management’ and ‘Business Management’. After he left Siemens, he became an Independent Consultant under the business name of Turn Key Canada Inc., for 10 years providing services to Canadian as well as international contractor businesses. He was an avid artist and photographer, and took on presentation and Web-site projects, including binding and producing his father Raymond’s book ‘Understanding Financial Reports’, and presentations, bindery projects and web site management for Canadian Industrial Heritage Centre in Brantford. In addition to many Aunts and Uncles, and cousins, David will be remembered by many friends including Holly Wright and particularly Jean Farquharson. For the last few years, David lived at Jean’s home in Paris, ON, at a beautiful setting on the banks of the Grand River; David helped Jean look after the property, but he considered that he got the better part of the deal. Maybe the Red-Tail Hawks will remember him too.
