Obituary of Arie Vanderstelt

Vanderstelt, Arie- Passed away suddenly and peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Tini (nee Vandertuin) for 58 years. Loving father and grandfather of Carla Mathurin (Andrew) Brendan, Brent, Machaela and Markus, Tanya Vanderstelt (Darcy) Kristina and Sabrina, Rodney Vanderstelt (Cheryl) Jessica and Scott. Great GG to Myla and Ariela. He will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews and friends including his siblings Tony(d.) and Jenny(d.) Vanderstelt, Rita(d​.) and Peter(d.) DeGelder, Jenny and Peter(d.) Van Egmond, Bob and Betty Vanderstelt, Wilma and John Mantel. Brother in law to Bill (d.) and Francis Vandertuin, Joyce and Doug(d.) Bergsma, Grace and George(d.) Tigchelaar and Tom and Auk Vandertuin. Arie worked proudly for Canadian Blue bird for 39 years as Supervisor for shipping and receiving. As well later after retirement worked for the Christmas Baskets for 12 years in charge of shipping and receiving of distribution of food. Arie was a long-time member of Farringdon Church and had a very active role as president of the Board of Trustees of Farringdon Burial Ground. He lived life to the fullest. Well done Good and Faithful Servant. Friends will be received at Farringdon Independent Church, 287 Mount Pleasant Rd , Brantford, on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 at 11:00 am. Private interment will take place prior to the service at Farringdon Burial Ground. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Farringdon Church would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Arie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
