Condolences
Hello dear cousins Rick, Ron, Jeff, David and Susan and families. Our deepest sympathies to you all. Just tuned in for the beautiful funeral service. Enjoyed all the reminiscences. I have many fond remembrances of Aunt Marj. She would often call just to chat and we'd catch up on each others lives; I will miss those calls. My grandson, Max, met Aunt Marj at Dad's funeral and asked us if she was the Queen. Aunt Marj got quite a kick out of that! But, she was a regal lady and will be missed dearly. (And to Susan...you are your mother!) Love you all.
We loved our visits with Marjorie, during our trips to Brantford. Our kids thought she was a “mighty cool grandma” ; playing cards with them at their Auntie Lisa and Uncle Dave’s. During her cross country road trip with Gloria, I was elated to find out that they were staying just 5 minutes down the road from our place, in Nanaimo, BC! It was such fun having tea with them, and hearing of their great adventures! Marjorie was an amazing lady! Our family sends our love and deepest condolences to the whole Aldred family. xox
Aunt Marg and Uncle Ray always had time and love for every one sharing thier own openly inviting to have all come and join in . Dear Jeff and extended Aldred family,
We are sorry to hear of you mom’s passing. We know her loss will be deeply felt; her legacy of family, faith and strength is both to be celebrated and grieved. We will remember Marjorie as a lovely person who like nothing more than to be at a party with her family, even if it meant taking the extended family on an Alaskan cruise! She will be greatly missed.

Aldred family, I am sorry to hear of Mrs. Aldred's passing. I know Mrs. Aldred from Burtch, she and the whole family were always very kind to me. I am Laura and Donald Burtch's granddaughter and niece to Sharon Burtch. I visited the Burtch General Store may times. I also found out years later that Mrs. Aldred played cards with my other grandma Bernice Lewis, small world indeed. May she rest in peace. My condolences.
It was with a heavy heart I heard of Mrs.Aldred’s passing. From a kid growing up in Burtch to later years having your mom as a client, it was my honour to have known her. I always looked forward to her visits to the office with her elegance and grace along with that warm smile and gentle squeeze or hug. My sincere condolences to the ALDRED family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Dear Dave, Lisa and Aldred Family,
Sorry to hear the passing of your mom. Marjorie was a very gentle, elegant and loving person, she would always greet us with a beautiful and infectious smile and hold our hands with a gentle squeeze. Another beautiful Angel in Heaven to watch over us. Rest In Peace Marjorie!
We are both so sorry for your loss Dave and Lisa. Marjorie was a lovely person. Another beautiful Angel watching over us all. Hugs from Kim and Mike Kovacs.
Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. The closing of another era. When Charley and I got married 52 years ago, Raymond remarked that 2 Aldred brothers married 2 Anderson sisters , now a Aldred is marrying another Anderson. Funny how we remember the little things, people say. We have so many memories in this Aldred family, times we have shared and stories we have been told. Makes us all feel very fortunate to have known these loving people. They will be missed.

We will always remember Grandma Aldred for her lovely broad smile and the way she would reach out her hand for a welcome squeeze. Such a kind, caring spirit who made our family feel like part of her own. We will miss her but know she is at peace. Love Bob and Vicki Bassett
Aunt Marj, You left us yesterday for a much better place. I can only imagine the welcome you received when you arrived home. Firstly, from the Lord of the Manor, he welcomed you with open arms. His price to get you there was immense but worth every drop. Next, Uncle Ray and other family members, with a long awaited hug welcomed you to that place of wonder. The reunion so far has been awesome and will continue until we are all assembled in that happy place.
You left us with memories and stories that will last through our short life-times. As a child, we sat around the table in your small kitchen above the store and dined like princes and princesses, mindful not to rest our elbows on the table for fear of the dreaded napkin placed into each armpits for its duration.
As a child, playing store in a real general store was so much fun with the Saturday treat of choosing our own bottle of pop and bag of chips. Such generosity and love. The best moments were spend in conversation hearing about so many family stories and adventures. I will miss our 1 hour - 1,5 hour phone calls. Thanks for your unconditional love. Tim
I met her many times. She was a lovely person good heart and spirit. So full of life and pleasant to be around. Till we meet again in Heaven. Heidi Christ.
Fond memory of singing around the campfire last August into the wee hours. Great time had by all. Larry and Joani
