Obituary of Carl Banfill

Banfill, Carl - Peacefully, at Hardy Terrace, on December 17, 2018, Carl Stanley Banfill, in his 93rd year, left his earthly life to be reunited with his beloved wife Adelaide (1996). Father of Sam Banfill, Della Hotte and grandfather of Nathan, David and Danny Hotte. Carl is survived by his sister, Willa Innis and his sister-in law Elizabeth Banfill. Predeceased by his wife Adelaide and his brothers Norman and Ross. Lovingly remembered by Carol, Mark, Jim and John. Carl was proud of the many clubs he was involved with, including The Masons, The Odd Fellows, Brantford Lapidary Club, St. George Carvers and the Tim Horton’s Coffee Group. One of his greatest joys was volunteering his time at Myrtleville House Museum where he hand crafted children’s toys for over 30 years. Following Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place and friends will be received at GREENBRIER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 11 White Oaks Avenue, Brantford on Saturday, December 29th from 10 - 11 am. A Celebration of Carl's Life will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Keesung Chang officiating. Interment of Carl's ashes will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, 519-752-4331.
