Condolences
From the years 2001 to 2008 when I was involved with former Friends of Myrtleville I had the pleasure of getting to know Carl and his passion for Myrtleville and especially his passion towards the young children. He always had a kind word to say and a wonderful sense of humour. He was affectiionally known as the "Grandfather of Mytrleville". His wooden toys and canes were his trademark. The world is little less bright now that Carl's time has passed., I was very blessed to have known you. You will be missed.
My condolences to all the people who knew and loved Carl. I live in North Bay and last saw him while visiting Brantford a few years back. He was the same gentle giant I remembered. In the early 80's we were rebuilding the family cottage. Carl helped out by fashioning the front and rear decks with wood salvaged from the old cottage. All his work was done with hand tools, no power tools for Carl! Besides wood working Carl was also a rock hound and enjoyed going to Bancroft, Mineral Capital of Canada. Rest in peace Carl.
