Obituary of Olive Plumstead

Plumstead, Olive Leone - Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, December 10, 2018 in her 106th year. Olive is survived by her nieces Karen, Susan, Wendy, Nancy and nephews Norman and Larry. Predeceased by her parents Herald and Clara and her brothers; Clare, Herald, Howard and Alex. Olive was a graduate of the Brantford General Hospital - School of Nursing in 1935. She also attended University of Toronto - School of Nursing in 1942. Olive eventually became a Head Nurse at BGH, a teacher/instructor at the School of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. Olive retired in 1971 as the Director of Nursing after 13 years and then served as the local Health Nurse until 1978. Olive also enjoyed serving as an Elder at Colborne Street United Church for many years. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground.
