We learned with sadness about June’s death and wanted to tell briefly of our experiences of her as a step mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend from across the pond.
June came into our life as Jim Papple’s second partner and wife. We know that they had many happy times together and that they worked hard to bring up June’s fine daughter Margaret. June provided devoted care to Jim when he had to deal with chronic ill health.
We have fond memories of holidaying with them in both the UK and Canada and latterly many stories to tell of the fine holidays June had with us in Felindre, Wales
In later years June took a great pride in the interests and happening of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We know from experience that she loved to hear from them via letters, cards and pictures. June was ever so reliable and loving in her remembering of the children’s birthdays and at that special time Christmas by specially chosen cards.
