Passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Blaine Childerhose. Loving mother of Daniel, Julie, Laura (Frank), and Steven (Missy). She is survived by her brother Stuart (Debbie). Predeceased by her mother Ida. She will also be fondly remembered by Tom Hunt, Norma Cronkwright and her many nieces, nephews and friends. Jackie was the heart and soul of the Grand River Book Store, and was a dedicated member of Sydenham United Church and Erie Presbytery. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE , 88 Brant Avenue on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Bill MacKinnon and Rev. Randy Mackenzie officiating. Cremation has taken place. Jackie's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lee, Jane (R.N.) and the nurses at the Brantford General Hospital Cancer Clinic, to Dr. Legere and Nancy (R.N.) from the Stedman Community Hospice Outreach Team, and the VON for the exceptional care and compassion.
