Condolences
Bonnie and Lori...Just saw the beautiful tribute video to Roy. Great choice of music. If you can encapsulate one's life this way, you have done a wonderful job showing all his interests and his love shines through in all the family photos. You could not have asked for a more wonderful family man. Roy will be so missed; not only by family, but all of us that knew and loved him. I promised him, you know, that I would be at his funeral to support you, and I feel so bad that I was many miles away and could not be there. I am grateful that I was able to say goodbye to him the day before he passed. I am really going to miss your man. Love, Jan
Dear Mrs. MacDonald,
I reach out through many years to extend my sincerest sympathy and to share one of Josh’s and my favourite memories. We have chuckled over it many times through the years especially after he and his family bought an Airstream. Mrs. MacDonald set the bar the highest back there in grade one to which no other teacher ever measured up. Disciplined, dedicated and with hidden athletic prowess revealed as you sprinted past us as the bell ran one Friday leaving a wake of smiles, waves and goodbyes as you speedily headed toward a bright Airstream. We chuckled that day too! I credit the MacDonalds for Josh’s pursuit of an Airstream and suspect he does as well. Mrs. MacDonald we don’t expect you remember us but still hope this somehow helps. Our thoughts are with you.

My sympathy to you and your entire family, Lori. The video is a wonderful tribute to your Dad and I hope it brings you comfort during this time of mourning.

Bonnie, Lori and Family,
Our hearts are so very heavy and filled with sorrow over the passing of Roy even though it was clear his fight was ending. Kathy and I were so very privileged to have know him over so many years in the Ontario Canada Unit of our Airstream Club. Roy served with distinction in the Unit including as President in 2004-2005 and then during his 6 years as the Region 2 Vice-Presidents and then President where he and I worked together and had so much fun including that wonderful (and infamous for us) caravan to Alaska. Despite his many severe medical problems Roy certainly not only enjoyed life but was so very helpful to so many others. I know I can speak for all those who knew Roy not only in Region 2 but throughout the rest of our wonderful Club there will be great sadness over his passing. Roy fought so many life threatening diseases with tenacity, humour and dignity. We have all lost a wonderful and warm friend.
With deep regret we will be unable to attend the funeral as we are in Moncton, NB until mid Oct. You and Roy will forever be in our thoughts every day as we cuddle in our beds under the two quilts you made for us.
Please know that we all need to continue our friendships and look forward to seeing and being with you 'Down The Road'.
Love,
Don & Kathy

To Bonnie ,Lori and Family: We send our sympathy to you at this difficult time. We have many fond memories of camping with Roy and Bonnie as well as working together on several committees for the good of FCRV and OPA. We are still camping with our chapter but it has become harder with the set up and tear down operations.
Take care, thinking of you. Carol & Jacques

Bonnie and family
Roy was a longtime friend and collaborator ever since he sold us our home in 1985.
As a board member for the Brant CAS his support advice and generous time commitments made our time together immensely successful culminating with the conceptualization design and construction of the Family Resource Center on Henry Street.
As chair of the board his leadership was oft recognized by all levels in the organization especially when he was present at Staff Recognition events.
As a friend we were always welcomed into your home and updated on family goings on.His generosity, humour, and willingness to lend his time, truly characterized him.
Bonnie you have lost a great guy,but his goodness will remain with you .
You have mine and Phyllis's kindest thoughts and prayers.

Bonnie,I was so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Bonnie and Roy were like part of our family and it felt like I grew up here with him as one of my mentors. I really appreciated all that I learnt from Roy over the years, and to this day I always smile and think of him driving in to Can-Am in his Jetta. He was a truly remarkable man and brought a depth of knowledge and a passion to every task that was put on him. He had a life that was well lived and we will miss him a lot. Bonnie know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers, and though I am out of town during the service, I will be there in spirit.

Dear Bonnie, Lori and family,
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Roy and I grieve with you as you deal your loss. Be assured that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I have so many wonderful memories of you all and when I think of Roy I always hear his big voice along with his even bigger smile. Even as a child, I looked up to him as someone who seemed to love life and was always fun to be around. I'm so glad our families shared so much in those days. He has impacted so many lives and I'm so grateful to numbered among them.
It's with much love that I share my condolences.
Sincerely,
Dan
I am so sorry for the loss of your Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Roy was an incredible family man who lived life with all of you first in his thoughts. It was a long battle fought courageously by Roy. May he rest in peace.
