Condolences
Our sincere sympathy to the Callaway family on the loss of their Mother. Len and |Susan King
Where do I start, I was introduced to Freda in Brantford General Hospital we both arrived the same day and shared a room.
My friendship with Freda began within the first half hour of us sharing room 740.
Freda's smile and laugh lightened our room many hours of the day. No matter how she was feeling or what treatment she was having she would without fail look over at me and ask me how I was doing.
One funny thing I'll never forget is when my wife brought me in a hamberger and fries, Freda said oh they smell so good, well I couldn't not share with her so a few napkins and a small pile of fries was passed over to her, it was like I'd given her something very special. The story doesn't end here, the next day in comes Fredas Doctor and Freda says I had fries yesterday, needless to say the doctor was not to pleased. Freda looks over at me and gives me up right away then the doctor looks at me with the evil eye, I wanted to crawl under my bed at that moment.
Freda was one wonderful lady, as the days passed I grew very fond of Freda and we became good friends as we learned more of each another's lives and families.
It was like I had known Freda all my life.
One of the highlights of my day was when Freda's daughters and sons and grandchildren and great grandchildren would come for visits.
The Callaway family are very special family and they made me feel like I was part of their family.
I'm very grateful to the whole family for making the long days feel short.
I'm very honored to have been able to spend three weeks of my life with a most awesome lady.
My deepest condolences to all the Callaway family.
