ARMSTRONG, John Daniel - Passed away peacefully at John Noble Home on Monday, August 1st, 2011 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Victoria for 64 years. Loving father of Trish of Barrie, Elaine of Burlington and David (Terrie) of Bolton. Caring grandfather of Aaron, Trevor, Rhianna, Jenny and Alison. Great-grandfather of Madalyn. Brother of Doris (Les) of England. Predeceased by his sister Lillian of England. John served in the Royal Air Force as a Navigator during World War II. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society, John Noble Home or St. Mark's Anglican Church would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of John in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
