Condolences
Dear Mrs. Armstrong, I am so sad to hear the news of John's passing. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I have spent some time thinking about old memories of my "in town grandparents" and they have brought a smile to my face. I remember being in the backyard and listening for John whistling. If I heard him, I just had to hop the fence and come visit! I remember looking forward to telling you both about my soccer games, bringing you to "grandparent's day" at school, and visiting over cookies and juice. Thank you both for these memories.I wish I could be there in person to send my love and condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

There are many wonderful memories of our Uncle John, and, they have been flooding in since we heard the news of his passing, yesterday morning. His 'always sooo cheerful whistling' in the mornings during my childhood, his gentle teasing, which made me know how much he cared, his words and gestures of encouragement always, always helped all of us to feel good about ourselves. Uncle John was patient and helpful to young people- he was a scoutmaster for years, at Christ Church in Niagara Falls. We love you, Uncle John.
