Obituary of Shirley Hamlin

HAMLIN, Shirley Marie (nee MacMillan) - Passed away after a courageous battle with Vasculitis, on Thursday, February 17th, 2011 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Don Hamlin (1974). Loving mother of Joan Hamlin, Mac (Anne) Hamlin, and Mary (Spencer) Hamlin. Devoted grandmother of Latham (Craig), Don, and Jenny, and her great-grandchildren Roydon, Georgiana, Millicent, and Lucinda. She is survived by her sisters Margaret (Russell) Hall, Ian Simons, and Norma Greig. Shirley will be fondly remembered by all of her family members and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, (519) 752-4331. A Memorial Service will be held at Glenview Presbyterian Church, 1 Glenview Ave, Toronto on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. Donations to the Critical Care Unit at the Brantford General Hospital, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Shirley in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
