Condolences
Deepest sympathies from the Shaw Family, formerly of St. Thomas Lavina Shaw, Port Coquitlam, BC Brenda Shaw, North Vancouver Lenora (Shaw) Crane, Calgary
Hello Margaret and children: I wanted to pass on a note to share my condolences along with a brief note from dad. He shared the info with Calvin and I that Ed had passed away over the weekend and I must say, he was deeply saddened by it. I now have the opportunity to hear the childhood stories of the Fanjoy clan growing up. Wonderful stories and I'm so blessed to be able to sit down with him and have him share and repeat. The key word here is "repeat". It must be an age thing or perhaps it's just dad. I'm told you are a strong clan so that tells me there is a lot of support around for Aunt Margaret. Thinking of you all. Blessings to the family.
I have many fond memories of your whole family, and want to extend my deepest sympathies to all of you. May you feel an overwhelming love and support by family and friends at this difficult time, and may God give you comfort and a peace that passes all understanding. To my dear, longtime friend, Marie, I am sorry for your loss, and that I have not kept in touch more often. Please know that I am thinking of you now.
I had the privilege of working with Judge Fanjoy in the late 1908's while he served as a Board member of the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards. His contributions to civilian police governance had an impact not just locally, but throughout Ontario. It was a pleasure to know and work with someone who cared deeply about his community and gave his time and knowledge to so many worthy causes and issues. My deepest condolences to family and friends at this difficult time. May the knowledge of his legacy serve to comfort you.
I remember Judge Fanjoy driving John and I to Driver Education classes . It is funny how you remember someone from so long ago. Recently my father got to know Judge Fanjoy at the Thursday lunch groups. He always had kind words to say about your father. My thoughts are with you and your family. Sincerely, Virginia Mott
Although we never met the Hon. Edward Fanjoy, we get the sense that he has touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed by those who have known him. Special People are all to often only in our lives for a short time, but they are in our Hearts and Memories forever. Giesela and I wish to share our sympathy and prayers with the entire Fanjoy Family in this your time of sorrow and remembrance
Our condolences to your family on the loss of a great man. It was a pleasure to get to know your family in your St. Thomas days. Thinking of you. Mary, Susan and Marjorie Gillick
Dear Margaret and Family. Bev and I were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Judge Fanjoy. He was a person that we both admired and respected as a professional and personal friend. Our lives were strengthened from his wisdom, wit and human qualities and we will cherish the many memories which we possess. We are currently in Mexico and unable to be at the service. Our thoughts and prayers will be with the Fanjoys on Saturday. God Bless. Al (Jake) & Bev Barber
Joan & I send you Margaret our sincere sympathy to you and your family on the loss of a dear husband & father. We certainly enjoyed a great friendship with the Fanjoys over the past 32 years. We will miss Ed but we will treasure the memories and good times. God Bless.
Marg, Bill, Beth, John and Marie and families My deepest condolences on your loss.
It's been such a privilege to have Ed as cousin and friend.
Although I haven't seen the Fanjoy Family for a number of years I only have fond memories of them, even you John. Having been Bill's employee in the Student Painting company as well as a family friend I spent many laughter filled times in the old house. The Judge always had a kind word, usually said in a humorous way along with a story. These stories were always entertaining and I enjoyed my time around the Fanjoy Clan both in Brantford as well as somewhere up north that I can't remember. I know Ed lead an incredible life and celebrating his life and accomplishments will garner many smiles from all that knew him. My sincere condolences, Margaret.
We extend our sincere condolences to the Fanjoy family on your loss. May you be comforted by happy memories of your father and husband.
Marie, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May the peace which comes from the memories and love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead. Leslie
Dear John, Tina, David and Thomas. Our deepest sympathy to your entire family. Our thoughts are with you. Johanna and Sean
Bill/Beth - I felt for you both on reading your fathers obituary in the Globe. I remember meeting him on a trip to Brantford with Bill in the mid seventies. He was very welcoming and gracious to me. I was struck by his friendliness and his voracious reading habits. In a small way he inspired me to do more with my life. I am now where he was then and will use that past visit as a reminder that small acts of civility and kindness can have an impact far greater than the act itself. You have my condolences in your time of grief. I wish you all the strength you need to get through it. I think of you both from time to time along with many others from the days at WLU. The two of you were good people and good friends. That is in no small way a great tribute to your dad.
Our deepest sympathy to your entire family. Our thoughts are with you. Greg & Elizabeth Fanjoy and family
