Obituary of Anne Reynolds

REYNOLDS, Anne (nee MacKenzie) - Passed away suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, June 16th, 2013, in her 91st year. She leaves behind her beloved husband, William Dean, step-daughter Bonnie (Larry) Pozzebon of Sault St. Marie, step-son Roy of Cambridge, sister-in-law Lillian Mackenzie, niece Karen (David) Guthrie of Woodstock, their daughters Virginia (Ryan) Pullar (children Mackenzie and Sean), Bonnie (Joe) Guthrie (children Ashley and Dean); her nephew Bill (Heather) of Conestogo and family Laura, Peter (Candace), Blaire and other relatives and good friends. Predeceased by her long time friend Terry Caharel. Anne had many good friends over the years across Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Scotland. She graduated from the School of Nursing, Brantford in 1944. After graduation she worked at the Six Nations Indian Reserve in Oshweken and on to Coqualutza, B.C. Indian Hospital. She served as matron at The Red Cross Outpost in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. On returning to Brantford she worked as a Public Health Nurse and finally as Director at the Brant County Health Unit. She traveled widely during her life, but always said Canada was the best. She was a long time member of the Bell City Probus Club. Her caring manners and gentle ways will be missed by family and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of Sympathy donations to her favorite charity, World Vision would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Anne in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
