THOMPSON, Elvis Arthur "Elby" - Suddenly at home on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in his 55th year. Loving brother of Bob and his wife Margaret Thompson, Bev and her husband the late Murray Davis. Caring uncle of Greg (Amelia), Jeff, Kelly (Robert), Crystal (Jim), Bryon (Linda), Bonnie, Tagan (Jim) and Raeanne. Caring friend of Laurel Knight and Patti Atkinson. Elby was an employee of Sobey's West Brant for many years and a member of Paul's Wetside Boiler Services baseball team. On his last day (Thursday) he played in the slow pitch league, a sport that he really enjoyed. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Elby in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
