Obituary of Robert Guest

GUEST, Robert A - After a long life, well-lived, Bob passed away at the Stedman Hospice on May 2, 2013 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Audrey (Shaw) for 61 years. Dearly loved and respected father of Doug & Linda, Ken & Darla, Carolyn & Trevor Roberts, Sue & Jeff Manning and Sandy & Dave Spence. Cherished grandfather of Jeremy and Matt Guest, Tiffany Vander Heyden and Tyler Guest, Trevor and Adam Roberts, Chris and Katie Manning and Brad and Melissa Spence. Great-grandfather of 7 little ones. Brother of Marguerite Somerville, Mildred Vaughan and Allan and Dorothy Guest. Brother-in-law of Norma Macaulay. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Vera Ross (1949) and his sister Jean Phoenix. Bob was a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant where he farmed his cherished Pleasantholm Farm with his son Ken. He was a lifetime, active member of his village church, a Flight Sargeant in the RCAF, District Chief- Mt Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, sat on the Ontario Milk Marketing Board, the Brantford Township Hydro Board and a member of Probus, his beloved TTT discussion group and Investment Club. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Sunday, May 5th, 2013, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 688 Mt. Pleasant Road, Mt. Pleasant, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to All Saints' Anglican Church, Mt. Pleasant or the Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
