FRASER, Bruce McAllister - Passed away suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 with his family by his side at the age of 92. Beloved husband and best friend of Alma for 66 years. Loving father of Terry (Susan) and Gail (Art). Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Ross (Sonia), Drew (Deanna) and great-grandfather of Aaron Fraser. He was a role model for all who knew him. Bruce was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 11, 1920. He served in the RCAF from 1940-1945 in England and S.E Asia. He was a machinist at Koehring Waterous from 1964 - 1985 and at Eatons Maintenance Department in Winnipeg from 1946 - 1964. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church, serving as deacon and usher and volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He played trumpet in the Brantford Memorial Concert Band for over 25 years and was a long time member of the Beckett Adult Leisure Centre. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Reverend Deborah Dempsey officiating. Interment will take place at Oakhill Cemetery. Donations to the First Baptist Church or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Bruce in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
