MacDONALD, Daphne Belle - Born on January 9, 1918 in Harry's Harbour, Newfoundland. Daphne passed away at the Brantford General Hospital, Brantford, Ontario on March 26, 2013 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Patrick. Left to mourn are her sons Robert (the late Judy), Edward (Sheila), David (Clara) and daughters Jeanette (the late Mike) and Joanne (Alan). She is also survived by her sister Tephi, of St. Catharines. Daphne will also be missed by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Daphne loved her family dearly and they were her greatest pride. Together with her husband Pat, they spent many happy weekends camping in their trailer in both Newfoundland and Ontario. She was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, loved to read and was famous for her lovely knitted scarves. At Daphne's request, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, Ontario. A graveside interment of ashes will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford on Thursday, April 11 at 11:30 a.m. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Daphne in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
