Obituary of Sandra O'Rafferty

O'Rafferty, Sandra Lee "Sandy" (nee Grills) - Passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in her 50th year. Beloved wife of Dennis, and loving mother of Brittany Beales and step-mother of Cory, and Staci O'Rafferty. Nana Sandy to Madison. She is survived by her mother Gail Garvin and her sister Tamara Grills. Loving aunt of Jordan Embury, and step-sister of Fred Garvin. Sandy will also be fondly remembered by her many other family members and friends. She was a nurse in Brantford for many years, who's smile brightened the lives of everyone she met. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., and on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakhill Cemetery. Donations to the Melanoma Network of Canada, 99 Bronte Road, Suite 324, Oakville, ON L6L 3B7 would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sandy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
