Obituary of William Day

DAY, William "Bill" Henry - Passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice, on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013, in his 88th year, after a valiant battle with cancer. Bill is now re-united with his beloved wife Iris who passed away two years earlier. He will be sadly missed by his sons Peter (Nancy) and Michael (Monica) Day. Also fondly remembered by his grandsons Nicholas (Maree) and Paul and great-grandson Lucas. Both Bill and Iris were born and married in England but called Canada and Brantford home for more than 65 years. Both were members of Northridge Golf Club for over 50 years and loved to travel the world on adventures together making friends wherever they went. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Stedman Community Hospice and the Brantford General Hospital for being there and helping both Bill and Iris and the family through these tough times. At Bill's request cremation has already taken place. A Private family service will be held at a later date. Donations to Camp Trillium or the Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Bill at the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
