PORTEOUS, Edward (Ted) Roy - December 5, 1917 - May 5, 2012 With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Ted, peacefully, in his 95th year. Son of the late Harvey & Mabel Porteous. Loving and devoted husband of Helen (Eddy) for 69 wonderful years. Special brother-in-law to Dorothy Conly and Carol Martin and their families. Predeceased by sister Frances Parsons and her husband Elmer and sister Dorothy Grummett and her husband Fred. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Garth Conly, Gene Martin and Mary and Omer Rammage. Long serving and faithful member and Past Master of Scotland Masonic Lodge #193 AF&AM. Ted had a contagious and exemplary zest for living. He spent many years farming in Scotland and Brantford. In his retirement years, he enjoyed the wonders of nature, his family and friends, cheering on the Blue Jays, his nightly game of Scrabble (which he often won!) and the simple pleasures of life. We feel very blessed and privileged to have had him in our lives. He will be forever greatly missed. At Ted's request, a private family funeral will be held on Thursday, May 10th, 2012.
