Obituary of William Beckham

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BECKHAM, William (Bill) John - Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 13, 2012, in Wawa, Ontario at the age of 68. He is remembered by his wife Barbara and her family. Bill is lovingly remembered by his children, Barbara, Melanie, Sue, Joanne and their families, siblings Sharon and Jim and their families, his Aunt Olive, his numerous cousins, step-children and friends. Bill is predeceased by his son William (Billy), and by his parents Gene and Hazel Beckham. Bill lived his life to the fullest, and as he believed. Always a generous and caring man, Bill had a tremendous sense of humour, and a great gregarious laugh, which he readily used as he shared his lifetime of stories with anyone who would listen. He loved the outdoors and, upon retirement from 30 years as a sprinkler fitter, found his calling by pursuing his dream to operate a hunting and fishing lodge in Wawa, Ontario. People came for the hunting and the fishing, but they came back because of Bill, with his love of life and outdoorsman's knowledge. Bill will be greatly missed. His life will be celebrated at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday, April 19th from 7 - 9 p.m. Please come and share in his life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the "Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters "www.ofah.org." or the Diabetes Association of Ontario or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
