Condolences
My deepest condolences to Tim's family. I was a close friend of Tim's at Lakefield College and spent many days at his house in Peterborough. We played lacrosse and hockey together and one of my fondest memories of Tim was in grade 13 we managed the sports equipment room at Lakefield college. We decided to spray paint the football helmets inside and were coughing up and sneezing green paint for days!! Over the years, I have often thought of Tim and wish I had reached out to renew our great friendship during our high school days.
Dear Elsie and family, our deepest sympathy to all of you with loss of your husband and father Tim. We had the great pleasure of meeting him when we volunteered together with you at Fairview School years ago for Pizza Days. Sincerely, Debby and Brian Wilcox

Timothy and Elsie, One of my all-time favourites. A Renaissance man, A man I was so fortunate to meet in 2009. We were all so traumatized and shocked, this past week. Perhaps Tim, your life is a lesson for all of us, but I can assure you this is not lesson taken lightly by those of us who remain. Rest in peace, My Brother, we all will always love you, for the example you set for us all. Elsie, thank you for helping to keep this wonderful man in our world. He has changed many of our lives, much for the positive. Brent Sleightholm and Heather Hines

Dearest Elsie, Melissa, Elizabeth and Tim jr, my sincere condolences in your time of loss. I had the pleasure of working with Tim for nearly a decade, and can honestly say he was one of the hardest working men I ever met. A graceful, classy, loyal, dedicated family and working man. Please find comfort in knowing he was well respected, and liked by everyone in this community. I am grateful for having the opportunity to have met, work with, and learn from Tim. So sorry for your loss.

Tim had the best radio voice of anyone on CKPC. He spoke clearly, read well and pronounced names correctly! I'm glad I told him that I appreciated his gift. More than once I would pass on my criticism to Tim of other announcers who really didn't do that job justice. Tim was too much the professional to ever agree but he knew what I meant! I am so going to miss his great radio newscasts with his signature sign-off, "I'm Tim Symons."
Melissa. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult and sad time. Love from Linda and Bill.
My deepest thoughts, prayers and condolences to Elsie and the entire family on Tim's sudden and sad passing. Tim was one of the smoothest newscasters I ever had the honour of working with, and as a person, his personality, sense of humour and warm smile were infectious. We are all 'richer' for knowing him and Tim will live within us all with the wonderful memories he left us with. Rest in peace my friend.
I only worked with Tim for a couple of years but he always was one for a good laugh. I'll miss his holiday email greetings and his never ending quest for goulash......Our deepest sympathies to your family.

Elsie and Family It was such a pleasure working with Tim, so many times I would see him coming into work with his briefcase and I always asked him what trip he was going on now because of everything he carried with him. He was a hard worker and was always so kind to me...he will always be special to me and to our family here at CKPC. Elsie , I too have lost a loved one in my life...I understand how difficult this is for you. Be strong for your children and Gavin and keep his memory alive. Sandra xoxo
