Franklin, Karen Anne (nee Welch) -Passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Thursday, March 15th, 2012 in her 70th year. Loving "Aunt Karen" to Drew Rachar and his wife Beth, and Christine Phillips. Great-Aunt to Reegan, Avery, Brooke, and Magnus. She will be sadly missed also by her cousin Eleanor Day, and fondly remembered by her long time companion William Smuck, her sister-in-law Barbara Franklin, and many other family members and friends. Predeceased her sister Judith Rachar. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Karen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
