WALTER, Linda Carole (nee Matthews) - Passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side, on Thursday, March 1st, 2012 in her 62nd year. Survived by her loving husband John, and her sons Kevan, and Danny. Born December 12, 1950 in Birmingham, England, daughter of the late Victor and Olive Matthews. She is survived by her brother Leslie and sister-in-law Pat, brother Robert and sister-in-law Wendy, sister Penny, brother-in-law Jon, sister-in-law Eileen, and brother-in-law Sam De Salvo. Predeceased by her brother Peter. She will also be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, great nieces and nephews, and her many other family members and friends, also her furry friend Davey who never left her side. Linda had a long career in the medical field, and was proud to have helped the community. She had an infectious laugh that will be sadly missed. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Sunday from 7- 9 p.m. Parish Prayers in the Chapel on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil's Church, 50 Pearl St. on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Linda in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
