Obituary of George Wale

WALE, George Clement - Passed away peacefully in his sleep February 18th, 2012 with family by his side surrounded with love. Much loved and will be dearly missed. Born June 13th, 1920. Predeceased by parents Percy and Martha (Clement) Wale, brothers Floyd, Harrison and Kenneth, and sisters Evelyn and Phyllis. George was a long time employee of Brant Dairy and served proudly in WWII with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers. Married to Violet Pearl Wale (nee Clark) July 6, 1946 and for them, family came first. The family has many fond memories of time shared together. George and Violet are survived by their children George Earl Wale (Anne King) Dennis Wayne Wale (Margaret Stout) and Brenda Doreen Betty Olds (Dwight). Cherished Nanny and Poppa to grandchildren Amy and Michael Wale, Adam and Alicia (Ismail Hassan) Olds, Morganne and Kate King Wale, and great-grandson Khaleel Hassan. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff at John Noble Home for their support and care and to the Brantford Public Library Outreach Program, Dad appreciated this service very much. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Tuesday, February 21st from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to a charity of you choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of George in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest. "Sixty-five years married....together forever"
