READ, Helen McNicol - Peacefully at Peter D. Clarke Long Term Care Centre, Ottawa on Monday, February 13th, 2012 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul D. Read QC (2000). Loving Mother of John, Bruce and Pamela Read. Loving Grandmother of Dashiell and Brie. At Helen's request cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford. A graveside interment of Helen's ashes will take place at Farringdon Burial Ground, Brantford on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Barry Bain officiating. She chose to leave us the day before Valentine's because she wanted to join her beloved Husband Paul. She may have left us in body, but her strength and her spirit will be with us always. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association are welcome in lieu of flowers. A tree will be planted in memory of Helen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
