RAMEY, Vernon - It is with great sorrow that the family of Vernon Ramey announce his passing on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012, at the Juravinski Hospital, in his 74th year. Loving husband of Irene Ramey for almost 49 years. Dear father of Jeff (Shannon Mifflin) Ramey, Lisa (Randy Patriquin) Ramey and Jim (Lori) Ramey. Cherished grandfather of Brittany, Stephanie, Michael, Andrew and Bridgette and great-grandfather of Maddison. Dear brother-in-law of Harold Kent, Don Ball and Doris Ramey. Predeceased by his brothers Howard, Ken and Don and his sisters Lois and Pansy. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Friday, February 3rd from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, February 4th from 10-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Interment St.George Cemetery on Monday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers to Camp Trillium would be greatly appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Vern in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
