Obituary of Eric Wood

WOOD, Eric - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (2000). Loving father of Kathryn Dussome, Eric, and Darren (Sandra). Devoted "Grampa" of Jason, Mathew, Kristy, Aminda, Erica, Jeffrey, and Nicole and their families. He is survived by one sister Patricia Fox, of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his three brothers and one sister. He will also be fondly remembered by his long time companion Jean Jones and her children Stephanie, Karen, Graham, Roy, and Diane (Rob), their families, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Eric was a long time member and volunteer, and retired Canadian Director of Moose International. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Moose Lodge of Brantford will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in Niagara Falls at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Cemetery, 2250 Hwy#20, Font Hill. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Eric in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
