ANGUS, Gavin Muirhead - Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee: Bryant) (2007). Loving brother of Barbara (the late Jack) Patterson, Douglas (Betty), Malcolm (Jean). Also survived by his brother-in-law Keith Bryant and 3 generations of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Margaret (Fred) Bowery, Ellen (Jack) Watson, Rachel (Ted) Kelly and brothers Morton (Norma, Lee) and William (Jean). Gavin was an active member of St. John's Lodge #82 A.F. & A.M. and Alexandra Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 12-1 p.m. A masonic service will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. with Reverend John Cruickshank officiating. Cremation. Interment of ashes Paris Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or Alexandra Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Gavin in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
