TWEDDLE, Dorothy Eileen "Eileen" - Surrounded with love and in the arms of her family, Eileen passed away on Sunday, December 11th, 2011 at the Brantford General Hospital, in her 84th year. Loving wife of the late Alan Tweddle (1980), for over 25 years. Much loved mother of Patty (Dale) Smith, Denise (Doug) Eighteen, Cathy McClay, Ken (Arilyn) Tweddle, Don (Jo-An) Tweddle and Lisa (T.R. Herriman) Tweddle. Cherished Nanny of Johnny, Ian, Carly, Carter, Alan and Julie and Great-Nanny of Ashley, Thomas and Dalton. Predeceased by her son Peter (1954). Mum and Dad, a.k.a. "Tweedy and Swan", were loving foster parents to many children who's lives were enriched by their love and guidance. At Eileen's request cremation has already taken place. Friends will be received by the family at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Saturday, December 17th, 2011, from 10 - 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. We encourage anyone who wishes to share memories or stories they may have of Eileen at that time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of her late husband Alan, The Brantford Children's Aid Society or any charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Eileen at the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
