SMITH, Frederick William "Fred" - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday, December 6th, 2011, in his 84th year. Loving husband of the late Doreen Smith (2008). Dear father of Malcolm (Marion) Smith and Stephen (Sherry) Smith. Much loved grandfather of Jennifer, Trevor (Rachel), Aimee, Christopher, Alycia (Russ) and Michaela. Great-grandfather of Emmett, Alyssa, Kayla and Liam. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Long time resident of Smokey Hollow Estates, Fred worked at Burtch Correctional Centre for over 23 years. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church on Friday, December 9th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Fr. David Joyce Officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Fred in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
