PAPPLE, Phyllis May (nee McCreary) - Gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Phyllis passed away on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011, at the Brantford General Hospital in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Elton Papple for over 60 years. Cherished mother of Gail (the late Brian) Sutton and Shelton (Karen) Papple. Dear grandmother of Brian, Madison, Brooke and Joel. Fondly remembered by her great-nephews Colin and Douglas Thornhill and her great-niece Anne of England. Phyllis is predeceased by her parents James and Emily McCreary, her sister Gladys McCreary and her aunt Dorothy Thornhill. In her youth Phyllis worked at S.C. Johnson Wax and later in her life for Spruceleigh Farms; she was a member of the Brant Curling Club, and the Rotary Club Ladies Probus. Phyllis was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Friday, November 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of the Nazarene, 347 Fairview Drive, on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. George Cemetery. Donations to the McMaster Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Phyllis in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
