Obituary of Blake McCaig

McCAIG, Leonard Blake - It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Leonard Blake McCaig at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on November 3rd, 2011 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Marian Ruth O'Brien and Beulah Carr. Loving father of Lorne (Kathryn and the the late Delynda), Donna (Grant) Harrington. Loving brother of Loreen Mobbs. Predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Stuart. Remembered by his grandchildren Yvonne, Dallas, Jenny, Karen, Deanne, Michelle and the late Suzanne and his great grandchildren Vanessa, Victoria, Austin, Graeme, Andrew, Lauren, Daina, Evelyn, Grace and Eleanor. Friends will be received at the Beckett Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Monday, November 7th, 2011 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Brent Powell Officiating. Graveside Interment Service at Sanctuary Park Cemetery , 1570 Royal York Road, Toronto on Monday at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Veterans Families Fund. A tree will be planted in memory of Blake in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
