Obituary of Jessie Smith

Smith, Jessie Elizabeth (nee Watt) -Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24th, 2011, at the Brantford General Hospital, in her 96th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Glenn (1980), and her sister Francis. She is survived by her children Pat (Ron) Allan, Jocelyn (David) Georgeff, and Bob (Elsa) Smith. Devoted grandmother of Brad (Nadine) MacDougall, Michael (Judith) Georgeff, Robert (Jennifer) Georgeff, Jaime, and Emma Smith. Great-grandmother of Aidan and Avery MacDougall, Joshua and Matthew Georgeff, and Alexander and Kingston Georgeff. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jessie's home and friends in Timmins always held a special place in her heart. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff and Friends at Charlotte Villa, and 5th Floor nurses at the BGH for the exceptional care and compassion. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Thursday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines. Donations to the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jessie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
