Obituary of Sheila McCaw

McCaw, Sheila M. (nee Tenant) - Peacefully at home, on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in her 64th year, with her pet Sasha by her side. Loving mother of Sherri McCaw (Mike Jennings), Tammy Cook (Terry) and Scott McCaw (Tricia). Cherished "Nana" to Brandon, and Ethan. Devoted sister of the late Diane Spiers, Karen Harrison (Larry), and Mia Tenant (Frank Minna). She will also be fondly remembered by Floyd McCaw, her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Nina Milton, and Alvin Tenant. Sheila was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 461, North Brantford Lions Club, and attended Pleasant Valley Church. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, "Mum" is gone home to be with her Lord. Special thanks to Dr. R. Wilson and Dr. Marcellus for their exceptional care and support throughout her illness. "Love You Always Mum" - Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Friday at 2:30. Pastor Paul Douwes Officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery. Donations to the Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma Society, Leukemia Foundation or the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sheila in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
