Major Caroline Brinson went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday January 23rd, 2025. Caroline, in her 92nd year is now reunited with her husband, Major Lloyd Brinson. She leaves behind her daughter Frances Leendertse (Frank Desroches), sisters Charlotte Piercy, Daisey Spencer (Roland), Janet Buckle, June Snook, and Grace Thornhill (Lloyd), sister-in-law Zelda Winsor and brother-in-law Malcolm Brinson. She is predeceased by her sister Ruby Hicks, brother Cecil Thornhill, and son-in-laws Robert Leendertse and Wybe Zylstra. Caroline will be missed by her grandchildren, Jason (Janice), Jeff (Sarah), Paul (Alisha), Erica (Sean), Heather (Shawn), and Jolene. She was adored by her 12 great-grandchildren, her nieces, and her nephews. Major Brinson was commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer (pastor) in 1958, served as an active officer in Corps, Mens Social Services, Addictions and Rehabilition. She retired on February 1st, 1995. In total, Major Brinson served for over 66 years. Friends and family will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, Ontario on Tuesday January 28th from 11 - 1. Funeral service to follow at 1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Brantford Community Church.
