Obituary of Peter Wong

Wong, Peter Born December 6, 1934; died November 9, 2024. Peter passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 89 years of age. Deeply missed by Jennifer and Christopher Harper, Rod Baker, Padmakumar Menon (P.K.), Gail Moffatt, Bill Underwood, and his special friend Jean Greathead (Riverview Terrace). Peter is fondly remembered by all he came into contact with including staff and friends at Riverview Terrace where he resided for 2 years. Peter was an interesting and well-travelled person. He explored the world with the air force. He worked in the food service industry for decades and was known for going the extra mile to please his customers. He was well-known at the John Peel restaurant where he worked for many years and was famous for his Caesar salads! The latter part of his career was spent at Cafe Andreau. Of particular note and interest, in mid-life, he went back to school full time to pursue the culinary arts. His genuine smile and friendly demeanor will be missed by all who knew him. He always took care of people and was a great friend. At Peter`s request, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, from 10-11. Service and lunch following at 11 a.m. at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. Interment to follow at Oakhill Cemetery.
