Obituary of Lisa Maria Corbett

Lisa Maria Corbett of Brantford, Ontario. Passed away on Friday, August 30th, 2024 at the Brantford General Hospital. Lisa was born April 24th, 1974 cherished daughter of Elizabeth Gilliland (Kulig) & the late Glen Gilliland and sister to Ryan Gilliland. Lisa attended St. Mary High School in Woodstock, having a passion to helping people she went on to Graduate from Franciscan University in Ohio as well as obtaining a degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor. Lisa married Greg on April 9th, 2005 in Hamilton, Ontario. Lisa loved to travel, having found a favourite destination in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She touched the lives of many people through her acts of kindness, care and volunteerism, she will be fondly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9. A Funeral Service to celebrate Lisa’s legacy will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 11:00 am in the chapel. Interment will be taking place at Eastlawn Cemetery, Hamilton at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nova Vita or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Lisa in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
