Pillay, Evelyn - Passed away peacefully at the John Noble Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Reunited with her husband Neville. Predeceased by her parents Doris and Clarence Peters. Will be missed by her sisters, Shirley Peters, Yvette Peters, Daphne Agard and Claudette Griffith, and good friend Matthias Jetleb. Also survived by nieces and nephews, sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, great-nieces and great-nephews. Evelyn was born in Guyana, South America. She received her professional training in England as a laboratory technician, specializing in bacteriology and parasitology. She lived and worked in Guyana, England, Canada, United Arab Emirates and the U. S. A. She had many interests including travelling and hand crafts. But her passion was caring for birds. She created a habitat for birds in her backyard and received a plaque from the Canadian Wildlife Federation in recognition of this effort. Private Interment took place at Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted Arrangements with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. If desired, condolences and donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Evelyn in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
