Mitchell, Linda- It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Joan Marie Mitchell (née Golfetto) on August 25, 2024, at the Brantford General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. Linda, in her 78th year, was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gord, and her dear parents, Jane and Joseph Golfetto. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was deeply adored by her daughter, Michelle Newstead (Edwards), and her son, Jeff Edwards (Lesley). Her grandchildren, Collin and Jane Newstead and Ben and Kaitlyn Edwards will forever hold her in their hearts. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Marion Simons and Dale Young. Linda worked for over 25 years in the physio department of St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Brantford General Hospital Orthopedic Outpatient Department. She will be most remembered for her love of her family, nights at the campsites with her husband Gord, her artistic flair and love of crafts, sewing, and quilting, and her cherished constant gift-making for her family. She was also an active member for many years at the Beckett Adult Leisure Centre, where she sewed and sang in the choir. “She carried herself with a Grace of a Woman.” Rest in peace, dear Mom. Fly With the Angels. Cremation has taken place. A service for immediate family to take place at a later date.
