Obituary of Mike Sawkins

Sawkins, Patrick 'Mike' - Passed away at the West Haldimand General Hospital Hagersville after a courageous battle of cancer on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 at 55 years of age. Deeply missed by his best friend and forever partner Brenda Woods. Loving father of John, Cathrine and Jason. Extremely missed by his beloved grandchildren Emily, Connor, Logan, Lexi, Rowan and Avery. Also missed by his siblings Bill Jr. (Liza), Tammy (Jim), Patricia and extended family. Predeceased by his parents William ‘Bill’ Sr (2011) and Nancy Sawkins (2000). Mike was an avid bike enthusiast having several bikes over the years which branched out to working on all types of vehicles including vintage vehicles. He loved mudding a sport that all of his children have embraced. He enjoyed being outdoors. He also found a love for being on the computer and seeing what was new on YouTube. But most of all he spent all of his time with his family. He loved being around them when he was not tinkering on a car or mudding with them. So raise a glass of Mr. Mugs in memory of Mike, his favorite drink. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Cremation following. If desired, Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mike in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
