Obituary of Manuel Vieria Carvalho Neto

Manuel Vieria Carvalho Neto June 25th, 1930-December 11th, 2023 Manuel passed away peacefully at the John Noble Home in Brantford on Monday, December 11th, 2023 with his family by his side after a brief illness in his 94th year. He was a great man fondly known as dad, pop, vovo and grandpa. He was predeceased by his wife Maria Adelaide (1978). Manuel is survived by his long time companion Fernanda Serpa, his children Maria Fernanda Marques (Late Fernando 2022) and Victor Neto (Mary), his grandchildren Nelson Marques (Alicia), Melissa Zicarelli (Gino), Adelaide Neto (Steve) Brandon Neto. Great grandchildren, Ethan, Jessica, Haeden and Luca. Loved by a large extended family in Canada and Portugal. Manuel immigrated from Portugal in 1955 followed by his family in 1956. He started his own business installing Storm Windows in Ontario and Quebec. Throughout his lifetime he was a carpenter by trade working for Leslie Sutch for many years until his retirement. He visited his homeland Portugal in the Spring and the Fall. He enjoyed dancing with his partner Fernanda and loved to show off his dance moves. He loved travelling and won lots of salsa competitions. He enjoyed playing cards in his favourite café in Portugal. Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 15th, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, December 16th at 1:00 pm. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
