Obituary of Stephen Scott

Stephen Kenneth Scott November 8, 1972 – October 27, 2023 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Kenneth Scott, aged 50 years. Stephen was welcomed to heaven on October 27 by his father, Kenneth Scott, and his son, Brandon Scott. Stephen will be lovingly remembered by his partner Karen, son Christian, mother Patricia, sister Jennifer (Wade). He will be deeply missed by extended family, friends, and coworkers. Stephen was born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and adopted by loving parents Patricia Scott and the late Kenneth Scott. Growing up in a pastor’s family, they moved around often but finally settled in Kingston, Ontario. As a child, Stephen found his love for music in elementary school and became a gifted musician. His love for music and his faith led him to attend bible school where he specialized in music. Stephen had great love for his partner Karen and spent his last days by her side supporting her and praying for her recovery from Leukemia. Stephen was a loving father to Christian and dedicated his time taking him to hockey, going fishing, and sharing their love for music. Stephen was a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan and was often heard loudly cheering on his favourite team. He could also be found enjoying his quiet time reading a book, playing with his dog, or practicing his music. A private service will be held for family and close friends. The service will take place on Friday, November 10th, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Beckett Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford. Masks are strongly encouraged to be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. A tree will be planted in memory of Stephen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest
