Obituary of Melba Greathead

Greathead, Melba (nee Waldbrook)- Passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Friday, September 15th, 2023 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late George Greathead (2009). Loving mother of Lynn Thompson (Dave) and Lori Greathead (Todd). Grams to Ashley Thompson- Gardiner (Alex) and Kayla Thompson (Jeff). Great grandmother to Dawson, Brooklyn, Laylyn and Ariana. Sister to Melvin Waldbrook and Dorene Turvey. Predeceased by her sisters Joyce Bray (2019) and Ulea Nie (2013). She loved to feed the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. She enjoyed going for drives around the countryside and jigsaw puzzles. She loved her family very much. As per Melba's request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A private interment will be taking place at Farringdon Burial Grounds. Arrangements are entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., (519) 752-4331. A special thank you to Dr. Austin, Dr. Malo, the PSW's and nurses who helped in mom's care. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Melba in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
