Obituary of Hazel Davis

DAVIS (nee Campbell), Hazel May- Passed peacefully, surrounded by loving family, at Hardy Terrace on Monday, September 11th, 2023 in her 95th year. Reunited with her husband of 58 years, Earl (2004). Loving mother of Robert (Darlene), daughter-in-law Janice, Brian (Sue), Gerald (Linda), Bruce, daughter-in-law Joanne, Kevin, Karen (Luc), and daughter-in-law Tracy. Cherished grandmother of 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister Marion and brother Ken. Predeceased by her sons Darren, Murray and Harold, her parents Ellis and Evelyn, sister Gladys and brother Ralph. She will be missed by family and friends for her strength, kindness, generosity and unfailing commitment to those she loved. Second to family, Hazel’s greatest love was music. It was a talent and passion that she shared for those around her, and lovingly nurtured in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hazel was a lifelong member of the Burtch Baptist Church. Sincere appreciation extended to Hardy Terrace staff. Hazel’s family and friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, on Wednesday September 20th from 2-4 and 7-9. A Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday September 21 st at 1:00 pm followed by a reception at Burtch Baptist Church. Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Donations made to the Burtch Baptist Church Memorial Fund are appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Hazel in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
