Obituary of Ray Campbell

Campbell, Wilbur 'Ray' - Passed away peacefully at the John Noble Home on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 in his 95th year. Reunited with his wife Jean (nee Smith) (1988). Predeceased by his parents Carl and Beatrice Campbell, his brother Doug Campbell, sister Joyce Devlin and his daughter Pam Kennedy (Wayne). Loving father of Glenn (Heather), Patricia Hill (Allen), Dave (Ronnie), Dianne Stinnissen (Arni) and Wayne (Gail). Grandfather of Aaron Hill, Nicole Kipp, Melissa Corbin, Ashley Michel, Martin Stinnissen, Tricia Robins, Mitchell and Troy Kennedy, Curtis Campbell, Madisyn, Marlee and Brady Campbell. Great Grandfather of Sydney and Charlotte Kipp, Noah, Everly and Bennett Hill, Sutherlyn, Grayson and Lincoln Corbin, Aylen Michel, Benjamin Robins. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ray was a pipe-fitter at Koehring Waterous for many years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener, growing the best sweet corn, onions and tomatoes. He loved playing cribbage, euchre and bowling in many leagues. He was a proud member of the Masonic Onondaga Lodge for 70 years. He will be fondly missed by many. He was a kind and gentle man who found the good in everyone.Family and friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Friday September 22nd, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Masonic service will take place on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 9:30 am. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the ALS society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ray in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
